Expect a challenging class that builds endurance, tones the body and mind, cleanses and detoxifies and leaves you glowing, strong and invigorated!
This class builds on the fundamental principles of alignment and pranayam (regulation of the breath). In this class, the student will be invited to advance into more challenging sequences, postures and levels of concentration and strength. Expect to execute poses that increase mental focus, muscular strength, and joint stability in the physical body and cultivates space, a sense of calm and opening of the spirit. Each instructor brings their own unique style and creativity to every class while intelligently teaching more complex poses possibly including arm balances, inversions, binds, core strengthening, balancing and longer holds. This class will most often be set to music and the room is heated to 95-102 degrees and 40% humidity, based on the judgment of the instructor. Come ready to move and explore, as every class is different!
Note: This class is not ideal for students new to yoga. Even if you are an advanced athlete, it is recommended that you take our foundation classes* to learn the unique principles of alignment and how to practice yoga safely.
