YIN YOGA IMMERSION & TEACHER TRAINING
A rich Yin Yoga immersion and teacher training led by Caitlin Rose Kenney offering practitioners and teachers alike a supportive space to expand and re-program. Yin Yoga is a healing practice that restores our health through postures (asana), moving subtle energy (qi/prana) and mindfulness. It is a holistic and intelligent practice that pulls from both ancient wisdom and modern science.
Join Caitlin Rose Kenney and guest instructors on a journey that combines practical curriculum with nourishing self-inquiry. Attend to your physical vitality, psycho-emotional well-being and the precious journey of your soul. Through a combination of practice, lecture and self-reflection we will learn about the profound benefits of Yin Yoga. Over three immersive weekends you will learn to to guide yourself and others in Yin Yoga, tune into the flow of subtle energy inside of you, practice mindfulness and meditation techniques, and explore spiritual philosophy.
Caitlin Rose has been teaching yoga since 2011 and has led teacher trainings in Yin and Vinyasa Yoga. Her unique teaching style is a blend of many different influences: notably her Yin Yoga teacher Sarah Powers and Vinyasa Flow teacher Gina Caputo. Caitlin Rose teaches yoga to satisfy the whole being and speaks about the physical practice as an access point for widespread change in mental patterns, emotional states, and connection to spirit. Caitlin Rose is known for holding space with a calm confidence that allows practitioners to move safely, feel their experience, revitalize and heal. Her gentle demeanor and articulate instructions aid students at any stage to advance their ability for precision and graceful embodiment.

You do not have to be a yoga teacher nor an aspiring teacher to take this course. This immersion is intended for anyone with a genuine interest in having an in-depth understanding of Yin Yoga. For those that already teach yoga, this course will prepare you to add Yin Yoga to your offerings. For anyone who is an aspiring yoga teacher, industry standards require you to have at a minimum a 200-hour certification from a single school of yoga. This immersion does not count towards a 200-hour certification, however, it does count towards 60-hours of continuing education with Yoga Alliance and prepare you to teach Yin Yoga.
While Yin Yoga can be practiced by any body at any stage of life, we recommend that you have at least 1-year of consistent yoga practice that includes (but does not need to be focused on) Yin Yoga. Having experience with yoga will give you the foundation you need to get the most out of this Yin Yoga immersion.
100% attendance is required for participation in this immersion. This requirement is first and far most so that YOU get the most out of this experience. Your attendance also impacts the energy of the group and this journey is intended to be a supportive, safe and sacred space for all participants. Finally, the teachers put forth immense amounts of time, energy and heart to offer this Yin Yoga immersion and absences can distract and dilute the content of the training.
We understand that, in rare cases, serious life emergencies arise. If you experience this during the course of the program, arrangements can be made to make up the work and complete your training either at an alternative time or during future yoga training sessions. These decisions are made independently for each student and must be approved in person with Caitlin Rose Kenney at a meeting scheduled and approved by all involved parties.
Homework and readings will be assigned each week and are to be completed between modules (expect 2+ hours of self study each week). Both Yin and Yang (mostly Vinyasa Flow) practices will be incorporated into weekend sessions. Additionally, it is highly recommended that you take at least one Yin Yoga class at our studio during the week that will support your study. All yoga classes at The Little Yoga Studio are included with your tuition.
